Yesterday I sat waiting with many other nervous parents waiting for my son to take his test for "Temps" so he can start learning to drive. I was amazed with the number of teenagers coming in and out, either taking their test for "Temps" or to take their drivers exam. My son passed, so our next step was walking over to get his temporaries issued. Back when I got my licence, you just got a blue piece of paper you had to take with you when you practiced driving. My son's temps are like a mini driver's licence complete with his photo, goodness how things have changed. They also give you a sticker to put in the car that says "Student Driver" My, I am not sure I am ready for this, my nerves are going to receive a shock for sure. My son also wants his grandpa to teach him as well...'"Mr State Trooper" who when I was learning how to drive, brought everyone of us kids to tears. I am sure everything will go good.
Here comes another ...well not so shocking event..another winter storm...ho-hum..la-dee-da. Who came up with ground hog day anyway? I have been listening to my Midland radio, set on N.O.A.A radio in Wilmington, Ohio and we are in Central, Ohio and most of Oho under a "Winter Storm Warning" for Saturday through til Monday. Large amounts of snow and ice accumulations are forecast at 90% are supposed to start tomorrow evening. It will be a nightmare around town, everyone will be heading out to the stores..again, of course by now we are so used to it..it is like a group of zombies strolling around gathering things automatically. I am done driving this week, so I am not too worried about it.
If any of you have to go out tomorrow or anytime this week Or if the East Coast gets slammed after us this coming week..PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
