Instead Of Daisy Mae Of Dog Patch Here,Its Daisy Jane Of Dogwood Terrace..

(somewhat like Daisy, she is bigger with floppy ears)

I thought it was cute to compare the old cartoon strip to our canine companion Daisy.    Daisy is a fur ball of energy .  I found it ironic that the name and place match..well almost to "Daisy Mae and The Dog Patch."
Daisy isn't a "froo -froo Paris Hilton Dog"  Her natural coat is just perfect, no need for the "doggie wardrobe" just her little blue collar.  She is a tough little dog.  She likes to talk back at the kids and I.    When the kids leave for school in the morning , she sasses them because she hates to see them go and  after they leave, she pouts.
Her brothers who remind me of "Chester And Spike" from "Bugs Bunny" like to go outside together to do their business.  Big and little brother thing.  Murphy looks after his two new canine companions along with his two legged family members.  When he gets the time he takes naps though , after all he is 11 in dog years (77 in people years.)  I know, Murphy is a German Shepherd mix, but it doesn't count in the canine world I guess .  Its funny to see the three of them together merely because of the size difference.
Murphy doesn't shy away from teaching his new sidekicks bad habits like pulling the dry cat food  off of the dryer and eating it.  Cat food is bad for dogs but you can't tell a dog that.  I always have to place the dish on the shelf before the kids and I leave the house, if I remember (Scary).   Teaching them barking out the living room window is Murphy's top pick of favorite techniques of patrolling inside and outside the house to make up for his despicable act .
Needless to say Daisy and Scooter have their naughty habits to share with old Murph, like tormenting the cats.  Daisy has mastered this, now my daughter's kitty, loves to play with Daisy, which turned out good.
I know if I was to ever write a cartoon strip about "Daisy Jane Of Dogwood Terrace"  I doubt very seriously it would go down as a classic.  Its a wonderful adventure needless to say, even so..
Exactly like scooter, I have to get some pictures taken of the two of them
