Sarah McLachlan - In the arms of an angel For my friend Connie, Who Sadly Passed Away June 7th, 2014 at the age of 49...
When my late husband and I were dating, I meet a daughter of of lady whose son was also over in the Iraq war at the same time as Jeff. Jeff's mom and her mom became good friends over the years and Connie and I became friends as well. She had been married three times since I known her, each marriage ending in divorce . Her first marriage lasting the longest with three sons. When Jeff died, she came to the calling hours and gave some support by saying five words to me in a hug "He loved you very much".
I haven't seen her since I moved back to Delaware, since then she became a grandmother and I have talked to her on Face Book. Just yesterday I learned that Hospice had been called in to care for her because her cancer had reached its final stage. Now its just a matter of time, again Cancer had won.. Not many people I know had survived its deadly grasp, My grandmother, Sarah E.Havens, her sister Roselie Oswald, her brother Frank Mc Donnell. My sister- in -law's dad, Robert Aleshire my husband's cousin Arlene Eckstien and my husband Jeff. So many family and friends, I can only count two in my family, Thank The Lord, that were spared!
I am feeling down as one could expect, my father-in-law Gary is in a nursing home now and with Connie going as she is, its hard to be cheery, For Connie and all who have gone before her..I think of this song..My Love and Prayers Always To Them and All those too who are going through the same thing and to their families!
You were a great, kind and loving person, thank you for being my friend!
Love and Miss you!
When My Son Was Real Little...
My son was just over a year old or so when he and I would sit together and watch Disney's "Tarzan" when he would fall asleep. I remember how much I liked this song and how it fit us. That is such a precious memory to me. My son will turn 16 years old next month
Remembering All Who Served , All We Loved..
I had always been told that there is a strong connection between service men and women. It is true. My dad often expresses that silently through his dedication , honor and respect for his time in The Army serving in The Korean War. It really doesn't make a difference really when or where they fought because all Veterans treat each other with respect as it should be, they understand how high the costs has been in every conflict. Memorial day is a day to remember those who we lost in battle as well n life. MY LOVE , THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL!

Class Of 1974.
As the school comes to a close, another class will be graduating . The class of 2014, hard to believe that forty years ago it was the Class Of 1974. My brother was ten years behind in 1984. My mom graduated in 1955, me 1985, thirty years after mom. No matter what year you go back to, it always seems like it just happened. I ran across my favorite guys' year book, Sir S. Anthony Schiss or Schizz. I think I spotted him, of course he is the handsome one naturally ! I don't know if I picked him right or not. It was sure fun trying to guess. We are all special graduates in those wonderful years of our High School life. So congrats to all and cherish your memories!

Of Course You Mean More To Me Than Just A Friend!
In case you are wondering if I just think of you as a friend. Well, I think of you as so much more than that. You know that I am sure. I am closer to you than I have ever been to anyone. Sure I am shy, maybe not so much with my writings, but in person. know you understand all that I have been through and I know you have been through so much pain in your life. I just always want to let you know that I do care so much for you and I do love you. I was told once not to share my feelings about you with you. Believe me I was scared and sad if I ever caused you any trouble. It certainly wasn't what I wanted to do . You sure had made your feelings known to me and I am very thankful for that!
I love you very much, plain and simple Sir S Anthony Schizz!

Love You Schizz.
Sorry, if I seem a little down, I worked on video tribute for my late husband Jeff for memorial day since we won't be able to visit his grave in Willard, Ohio. My daughter helped me with it and I kinda broke down in tears on her shoulder. Maybe that is why I needed to post that blog last night. I guess I needed to feel that you were alive and ok and I needed to use all my strength (Or my fight) to know you were ok. Please take care of yourself Sir S. Anthony Schizz, love you so! I will post the Tribute on Memorial Day.

Oh Those "Boat Shoes."
One of the fashions I was introduced to in Jr High was "Boat Shoes". I don't know why I thought of this just now, but in one form or another they are still around. I was in eighth grade when I first saw this flat soled foot wear. I even took a pair of these for my 8th grade Washington DC Trip. Back then they were more popular with the girls than the boys in my class. You don't see them so much in the ladies fashions today, if they are, the heal is more wedge shape or just a plain rounded style, much like a pair of basic ladies sneakers.
In the men's shoes they are much of the same style I remember. Now I know why I thought of it of course..I remember Schizz wearing a pair once. I will admit that style sure looks better on him than it ever did on me.
Much like the girl's pair of boat shoes I used to have.

My Love And Prayers Are Always For You
Just wanted to tell Sir S. Anthony Schizz, that I love him very much and thinking about everyone in his family!
Thank You Delaware County EMA And Delaware County Sherrff Department.
I was able to attend a community meeting for Worthington Arms Manufactured Home Park (Fancy term for Mobile Home). The kids didn't want to go, so they stayed home while I walked over to the clubhouse where the meeting was at. There are many elderly folks who live here and it was nice to see them come out. Unfortunately not many people in general came. In a park of this size, only about 16 people came, much to the disappointed mangers who came out to speak to us. A very nice older couple, The Deweeses..
Four speakers came as well, two from The Delaware County EMA and two from The Delaware Sheriff Department.
The main topic was Severe Weather, Tornado and Other potential disasters . I loaded myself up on all sorts of information and several Block Watch Signs to post in my car window and to give to my mom and dad.
I signed up again to be Block Watch Captain of the area the kids and I are in. Things have got better since our trouble making neighbors were evicted. Beside me are two ladies, one divorced with two boys whom I babysat the youngest a few years back, now going in the 5th grade. The other who is a widowed lady who has been here since the kids and moved here in 2007.
Speeding in here is also a problem, I made sure that when I teach my son driving, he always stops at the front of the park .(A Stop sign is posted but very few stop). The Sheriff's department had suggested to either place a Patrol car up front to catch those breaking the 10 mph speed limit with a fine up to one hundred ten dollars or a deputy to hand out warnings. The problem is serious because there are little ones that play out in the street mainly because there isn't anywhere for them to go. I have noticed many youngsters riding there bikes and some will fall off. It only takes one time before one of them is hit. Any more adults get hit and killed almost everywhere. I hear that almost constantly on the news, in fact yesterday a man in south Columbus was killed crossing U.S 23 going to work.
It was really nice that they came out and talked to us, that really shows their concern. When I was leaving, the manger thanked me for staying here and showing up. I was the only one who came from the last block watch meeting as a captain. Gosh, that was sure nice and meant a lot to me. I actually made a difference, something I never thought I'd do. I really want to thank everyone from The EMA and Sheriff Departments, The mangers and all the nice people there. Worthington Arms is one of the first and oldest Mobile Home Communities in Delaware. This just makes it the nicest!

Happy 85TH Birthday Audrey Hepburn!
She was a wonderful actress with so much class, unmatched to this day. She would have been 85 today had she lived. Remembering her today with some of my favorite movies she was in!

The Inner Nerd
My nephew has a type of way about him that can light up a room. Nobody can stay sad around him. He has been going to Columbus State in Audio-Visual since his graduation in 2013. I am surely proud of him. I recently asked him to help me put an art portfolio on disk so I could duplicate it and send it to employers looking for artist.
I know I may sound like I am bragging but this kid has amazing talent, not only does he do well with computers which he claims brings out his "Inner Nerd" but he can do impressions of movie characters, mainly "Batman" of course, not the one my generation knows but the new "Batman".
So when I am blue, I think of him doing "Batman" I can get through the day smiling as I am sure he would you too.
So Proud Of My Nephew!
